P500 Fault code 112-8?

Hi, My 500 (2015), is showing is flashing up this fault code 112-8
The 500 starts, runs for about 5 mins and then the gear display goes blank followed by the engine light coming on and the 500 shutting down.
Any ideas what I should be looking for.

There isn't any code with that large a number, nor is there any code with a -8, it would be -1 or -2 but the P500 display doesn't indicate the secondary number anyway.

Is the CEL or gear position flashing?

The unit will flash multiple codes, 1 after the other and then reset with a long blink.

When u get a sec, post up some pics of your ride as well. Kind of a u written requirement here Just to make sure your for real or these guys get mad

Really good points. I will try a get a video tomorrow.
But, in The interm, i turn on the key, the gear display (on the dash) flashes once then there is a pause, flash’s again then another short pause, there it flash‘s Twice in quick succesion, then a pause then it flashes eight times quickly. This continues to repeat.

Right, he can do that for the code.

Just replaced it. It did cause it to shutdown because of low voltage

Here is a couple of pictures of the ATV. It’s 500 purchased about 2015-16.

The photos where taken in East Gippsland about 30 km (20 miles) north of Bairnsdale, Victoria Australia.

I will take some more photos of the bush land around the area once I get it running reliably.

When I started the ATV today, there was no flashing of any codes. About 5 mins after driving around, It shut down again. I did capture a short video, but not sure how to upload it. Attached is a photo of the display.

My 500 was shutting down after 5 minutes and throwing codes. I replaced the battery and spark plug. That did nothing. Turns out it was the stator. You have to take the engine out to fix that.
