Anyhoo..enough about life lessons. How bout ripping that skunk a new one? Cool huh? Bad part is he/she had it made. Tall grass was maybe 5 yards away and no way I was going in there after him (a story for another day). But nooo. He had to stop and turn around to see who was following him. It was the reaper. Don't get me wrong I don't enjoy the senseless taking of life. But skunks in this area are known rabies carriers. And then there's my poor chickens.

One time I found a skunk in one of my feed bunks in the middle of the day. That almost certainly means rabies. The worst thing about shooting a skunk is they give you one good spray as they clock out! Good thing I wasn't feeding cattle there for awhile, it stunk for a month!!

My 22yo step son obviously thinks all the things me and his mother have and provide for him and his other 2 brothers just shows up here magically kinda like Santa visits year round because he gets all kinds of good jobs but quits them after his first few checks but then talks about all he wants to buy and do all the time. Thankfully no drug habit or jail thank the good lord above!

We have a local skunk but I never see it just smell it passing through around 9pm every night and a few months back our dogs found it... Feww weee!!!

This one was too far away to smell too bad. That little ruger will definitely reach out and grab ya lol. The accuracy just amazes me

The wife won an Orca tumbler at the Pioneer Takeover. I can tell you it works really well. Keeps ice forever. At least the couple times I've used it, it worked well. She gets a lil wound if you run off with it. One reason I'm after my own lmao
