Disregard, I see you didn't use the holes from the stock hydraulic lift assist. Is that a 1000 - 5 or a 1000?The distance on the stock hydraulic lift assist are 13" hole to hole when closed. The specs on your actuator say it is 18" retracted. How did you get it to fit?
It is not installed in the location of the original gas cylinder. It is further forward on custom brackets.Disregard, I see you didn't use the holes from the stock hydraulic lift assist. Is that a 1000 - 5 or a 1000?
Nevermind, I see now its the 1000.It is not installed in the location of the original gas cylinder. It is further forward on custom brackets.
Curious, did you have to pull the bed off to attach the top mounting bracket? I have the 1000-5 (2021) and the under side looks a bit different. There is an old post about this where a dealer was making these but they decided against it for liability reasons. So I took it into my own hands and here's some pictures. I still need to modify the plastic shield and the switch is temporary so I can get to picking up rocks in the field. I have a Mystic switch panel waiting to be installed.View attachment 45615 View attachment 45617 View attachment 45618 View attachment 45619 View attachment 45620
That is cool! Thank you for sharing! Its a concentric #LACT12-1000B. I got it from surpluscenter.com for about $250, but I see its a little higher now. They are available all over the internet. It was the longest I could find to fit in between the frame and box. It does limit the full dump travel but it hasnt caused me a problem yet. The brackets are 2x2x1/4 angle iron.
In-floor heat is the way to go. Wish my shop was that size….Theyre never big enough. Started out 30x40x12 tall then, fil said make it big enough for the combine to be worked on, that turned into 40x60, then I said my toys are going to be in there too. So now its 60x64x20 tall. Insulated with in floor heat.
