After a month of asking questions this is what I finally finished up with last night. I still need to trim the air intake lid to fit. Also going to get some boots for the terminals. While I'm at it I'll add a foam insert to the bottom of the batter like I did for the back of it.

For the battery I went with the Odyssey PC925. Mine was $178.07 shipped.

What type of battery are you using on your dual battery setup ? Prices ?
Did some research and Mighty Mite Battery sells an Seal Lead Acid Battery for less than 1/2 the price of the Odyssey. Just match up the dimensions and it fits right in the slot. Terminals are still easy to access. I use the mighty mite to replace the battery on my Honda snowblower (1/4 the price) works and charges great. 4 years running now

I went the cheap route. I bought a 14amp ATV battery at rural king. It was no more than $40. I run a pile of accessories on it and it's been drained to nothing more times than I can count. It has over 600 working hours on it and is still good. A few weeks ago I ran my radio for 7hours. If it dies tomorrow I will go get another one.

I found an energizer battery at Tractor Supply. Maybe the bunny can pep up my buggy a little bit. It was like $100.

I will check on that RK one as well. Seems like a good option.

I think the "save all" for any battery is just plugging it in to a battery tender when it's not being used.
