I’m thinking I can make something that extends the Talon bed just a bit bigger. Then harness him in with a few points off the cage. He’s about 95lbs so lap dog is not going to happen. However, he did not get the memo that he’s not.
I seen somewhere on this site a bed extender for a Talon and it looked very nice,,,,,

They are super intelligent pups.
when We got Max He was about 6 mos. old, I took Him to the Vet and the Vet looked at Him for about a minute then he looked at Me and said "He's Pretty Smart Ain't He" The vet said that Poodles are some of the most intelligent dog breeds, He said that the circus uses a lot of poodle's because they are so quick to learn, Have Fun,,,,,

He will
He will not be up front. Just wondering how people haul them in that small bed. I have thought about a harness but still wondering if there’s a better way.
If you have front or even worst a rear glass, the level of dust swirling back there will be tremendous and likely not good for him vs. no glass with air blowing freely through the machine. A harness will work and I assume that is to keep him from jumping out??? Regardless, I would also think about the worst as well, roll over and how the harness may come into the equation... It is without question many include their dogs in riding and it appears you are trying to be thoughtful and likewise, tossing things out there for you to consider... It may turn out you prefer to put them in a sturdy cage/kennel, who knows...

Let em roam the cargo area.
(Add a tailgate)

they are smarter than humans and probably would jump out mid rollover and be in much better shape than if tied in place.

or just run along behind the machine.

I rolled my 1000-5 on its side with my black lab in the bed. Nets saved him.

Mine refuses to ride in the back of the P1k. She rides in the middle or in the passenger seat if I've got the kiddo with me. I tried putting her in the back with the nets and the first time I slowed down she jumped out the back and ran around to get in the front with us.

That little spark plug looks like a good guide. Probably has it all figured out.

I have no need to be doing crazy things in the Talon when Thor is on board. If I plan on doing unsafe things Thor will stay in the camper!

The Rem dog only now goes for a ride if I’m just doing a light Cruze. He’d freak out anymore if I went too fast and want jump out. He enjoys the breeze.

If we get on any rough trails or climbing up steep hills Max gets up front and sets between Me and the Wife that is one of the reasons I like the Pioneer because the three row seat is great for dog in the middle,,,

Life is better SxS but.... what about your dog?

I just picked up a Talon 2 seater and wondering what you all have been doing about taking a dog along if the two seats are taken.

Thor has to go!

The Dogs are one the reasons I went with the pioneer over the talon.
Could you put Thor in a crate in the Talons smalls cargo bed?

Thought about a deck out front like cat and coon hunters have over there truck hoods. Bolted down dog create in the back works the best most of the time.
