Why you should have one, because another mfg sell more roman candle SXS than everyone else combined and the operators foolishly carry fuel in a plastic can resting on a 300 degree cargo bed, what temp do you think gasoline boils? I do not intend to find out like these folks:

And this concludes todays object lesson on why you should spend $65 on a fire extinguisher before you spend $400 on a cooler.
True story!! Haha

I might be getting joeys line thing again but I don't have one on the Honda because I want my Polaris to catch fire. It's worth more as a camp fire then it is "running "

Then I'm an idiot right along side of you! Although I do push belts. Has there been a case of a pioneer catching fire??

I don't know of a specific case but isn't that why the 700 got the updated skid plate?

That was a couple cases of dry grass on top under the exhaust that was found to be smoldering but I'm pretty sure it didn't cause fires. But Honda was really fast at coming up with a solution on that it wasn't a government forced recall 5 years later

I don't want to sound like an advocate of not having one either. I do have a pretty white one in my watch list. I think it's a really good idea and is required in lots of areas, people should have one even if they aren't worried about their own rig. It could put out someone else in need or possibly stop a forest fire from something stupid.

I was pretty sure of that. When we bought the 700 I researched the hell out of it and that's what I found but ours already had the updated skids

That's why I wanted to carry one. Not worried about my rig catching fire so much, but you just never know when you might need one for whatever reason. I like to be prepared, one of the worst feelings there is is knowing exactly what you need to solve a problem, and not having it.

Ok while looking at the fire extinguisher I had on watch I saw thisCc116854e105b4b205deaac213b5338dok funny!
But I couldn't find factory Honda unit lol. I'm going to pull the trigger if can find a good deal. I agree it's important and not sure what's taken so long. Anyways I want a nice solid mount not Velcro ( unless that really holds well) and don't want to spend 150 for mounts. Anyone find anything reasonable.
