Didn't like the way my exhaust looked so I opened it up with a custom tip. Got to do a little finish work but I like the way it turned out.

Nice @Jay1981,
That one really is custom. Removing that OEM pipe really gives it a deeper sound. Should sound fairly good too!

Yeah it sounds alot better. Not really louder but deeper. I cut the stock pipe out of the plate and welded a 2" pipe that I cut the angle on. Added a spark arrestor behind it too. All for 7 bucks.

I agree. That stock tip looks lame. Limp almost. Good job and thanks for the idea

I never cared what an exhaust tip looked like, I just want it to be fairly quiet while running decent.

Your work looks good, but was there any advantage other than cosmetic?

Here's a tip I bought for a 680 Rubicon, it bolted right on, and yes it does make a difference in power output. I'm holding the stock one in my hand. A whole lot less restrictive.
