HondaSxS.com has obtained leaked photos revealing the HVAC system that Honda plans to release in the upcoming year. Unfortunately, it appears that the beloved Pioneer may be getting a belt, although some information suggests that the compressor may be shaft-driven, contrary to what the images display.

The exact release date is still unknown, but it is highly likely that it will be announced next year. Our best estimate is for a 2025 model release, as Honda typically unveils at least one SxS update each year, and this seems to be it.

However, this update will only be significant if Honda also delivers improvements to a fully enclosed cab system. We all know that the previous enclosures have been quite inadequate.

There is an upcoming dealer redline announcement. Cross your fingers this is it.

I like the enclosed compressor belt drive. The Polaris compressor belt drive is not enclosed. The compressor location is really good. Honda has had a few years to test the Polaris and Can-Am units so we can count on the Honda being really good. I'm putting it on my want list for April or May if it's a 2025 model. It should have the Talon engine with a little less HP. Hopefully the suspension will be better than the Pioneer and have longer travel. I think it will cost less than the Polaris.

LOL @ guys losing their s*** because it has a BeLT.

The belt is to drive the AC compressor and maybe something else...maybe an alternator or just a tensioner. You drive something like that every day. It'll be fine.

Well...except for the price...

Well maybe I’m wrong on this in the other thread…but it’s still a big leap from paper / proto types to the real thing in production.
100% accurate... Just paper at this time. lol
Cab system still needs heavy improvements however.
Yep, it definitely needs to be a sealed cab.

😂 Told you guys to run an AC compressor for the type of cooling to work right you need RPM’s or 240volts. This is why the Canned Hams and Poo’s Poo’s have them cuz of the RPMs they can get out of there rubber bands but it will also kill HP. These things are not automobiles.
But what do I know? Im just an HVAC tech🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Hopefully it's 134a, though that's supposed to be "phased out".

I would ASSume it is 1234yf BUT...the Polaris shop across the street still hasn't purchased a machine, so they have been bringing them to us, and they are 134a. 1234yf is much more expensive and the machines (thus far) are much slower and more expensive. It's apparently flammable, so there are steps involved with testing for leaks (meaning you ALSO need to buy a "sniffer" as well) before the system is charged to full capacity, and that's one reason it's slower.

Basically, it has all the earmarks of the typical dumbass government decision. I'm sure there are several investments in the 1234yf companies up in Washington...so no bias at all.

Also: This is a machine that kinda had a rep for overheating before the changes a few years ago. Now you're adding in a lot more heat, so how is that being dealt with?

Oh...and the other thing is I hope they use a clutched compressor, as most are. The ones that turn ALL THE TIME don't have nearly the service life.

Not that I care about any of it.
