I hear that. I was looking at that today, they are weak.

Looks like a couple hours each side then a brace in back and this crap would never happen again. Not worried about a little extra weight there. Probably get just a little bigger and trim plastic to fit. Also weld in nuts at the bottom for the skid plate

I ordered the stock bar.. it hasn't come it yet. But I will end up replacing them with something that's actually useful.

They hold up the plastic just fine!

See if u can sleeve the inside before putting them on.

That would be a good idea. Use a steel structural glue between the two. Even high density expansion foam would help lots

Wonder if u could use a big piece of rebar and fill it with anchoring cement? That stuff gets to around 10,000psi and expands as it cures and safe for metal. Gallon cans of JB weld would be awesome lol.

If you could fill it with jb weld holy s***! I had pos Mazda years back with a crack in the head between 3/4. Ground it out jb welded and put several 1000 on it like that. Might still be going!

a harbor frieght pipe kinker is good enough to bend up some rock sliders. I really like how mine turned out. Gave the oem tube added strength and also helps kick the rear end out when rubing against a rock, stump or tree.
