Let me start off by saying that the 1k is a heck of a machine and I have been able to go places my 700 would never dream of. Now to my only real complaint. The camo on the 1k is easily peeled off where as on my 700 you couldn't scrape it off. The only time it had any scratches on it was from a wreck at Windrock last year. The 1k is coming off just by rubbing against trees.

Is it the factory phantom camo? I have seen no problems

  • For about 300 bucks you can replace your camo panels with solid color ones and alleviate the problem.

What is the base color under the camo?

Sounds like you got a bad batch of camo. Maybe talk to your dealer.

It's pretty soft, seems like they didn't put anything like a clear coat or whatever over the dip. Mine has scratched just where I put the hood on and off pretty bad.

Agreed, the 700 camo was bullet proof.

That would really bother me considering the premium they charge for camo. I would talk to the dealer and at least get it on record...
