Lol, I told you yesterday that if you looked at the pic I posted in the op, you’d see that A-arm guards wouldn’t have protected the boot that’s torn. I’ve got the $700.00 1/2” UHMW skids, nothing came through there. There’s no protection in front of the rear wheel on the driver side for this boot. Some protection on the passenger side from the battery box.I didn't know that! Better skids?

That’s good to know, thanks for that info Buford!!! Does that mean there’s little point in trying to get some grease into it before I seal it up?That boot isn't real critical as all that's inside is a sealed u-joint, not a cv joint. They are kind of a pain in the ass to change.
No worries, I’m going to clean it very good and lay the shoe goo to it and see what kind of performance I get.My bad. Guess the picture you posted gave me a flash back of my torn A-Arm CV boot.
Did this repair and rode it all weekend. Checked to see if it was still holding up and it’s stuck like glue (goo ). Believe I’ll keep an eye on it and see how it does.Yep, same one I found torn just before I left on a trip to Colorado.
