Strongest part of that machine right there T!! :) I haven't the tools or skill to create that shackle unless a wood shackle works, I could make an exact duplicate, lol. So I will probably be welding a D-ring to my strong made bumper for this purpose.

Would you consider making up some of these to Sell? I would be interested in the same setup. Great job by the way.

TFlynn, I'm kinda curious about how the temperature will do on hot summer days. I know the 700 has an air scoop right behind where you placed your brace. I really like the mod, keep us posted. The pioneer bumpers are cheap and flimsy. The welds broke on my bumper and it literally fell apart when removed.

Thank you. Ive been riding it like normal and so far there has been no noticeable effect on cooling. Summer's here are commonly in the 100's, last week we saw 110! I noticed the little scoop you're talking about while I was building it and while it doesn't look like in the pictures, I think the scoop still gets some air to it under the shackle mount. I've probably got over 1000 miles with this mod with maybe a couple hundred in the hot months and so far so good. If you are considering doing the mod but are concerned with the airflow, just drill some 1"-1.5" holes in that plate. Still be plenty strong with 3/8" plate and hell, might even look better.
