P1000 Brakes..

My 2018 has almost no brakes on the initial pedal mash.. let off and mash again.. waaa laaaa.. stops immediately.. what’s the fix for this? Thanks!

Pads look good.. what is the recommended bleeding procedure?

Have you checked your brake fluid level? Could be a master cylinder failing.

Pads look good.. what is the recommended bleeding procedure?

Normal automotive process applies. Start at the farthest rear corner and work your way around to the closest caliper to the master cylinder in front. Pump the pedal to build pressure and while holding it down crack the bleeder screw on each. Repeat several times on each until no air bubbles come out.

When my Talon was doing that, I had a bad wheel bearing. WTF you might ask.

The bad bearing lets the wheel wobble, this includes the brake rotor, which in turn pushes the pads back into the caliper; so, the first 'push' has to push the pads back out to the rotor, second 'push' can then apply the brakes.

I'll put my money on A-arm guards.
In the past there have been some guards that contact the caliper at full suspension stroke.
This pushes the piston in.
When you hit the brakes you have to push the piston back out before the brakes work.

Good point, I've seen that in action on a Talon X2.
