Sorry to tell you but You cant control dumb asses like that. There on the trail too. All you can do is watch out for the other person. Fyi, your in a UTV vrs a Automobile. The Automobile will win in that situation. My cousin is an accident reconstruction specialist for the Sharif dept in my State and theres alot of road UTV’s in his district. He says UTV vrs Autos, the person in the UTV its 95% fatal no matter what you have. Let that sink in. I still drive the road here but I look out for the next guy and anticipate the worse and respect Autos when In my rig thats all Im saying.
You drive how you want too, its a free country for now lol.

As for your bigger brake upgrade, I think your gonna have to be the Guinea pig and make/find a set. Not lookin look like its been done yet.

Russ I'm not sure of their name but there's a place down in Miami that makes custom calipers with "parking brake" for the P1K. Might be a good place to ask if they could also make a bigger set up??? I'll try and remember where I saw their info 👍

Any way to install larger brake rotors and calipers on the 1000?
I did this damage to a wheel somewhere in the Utah desert with a stock 15" wheel (on my Talon). Some guys are putting 14" wheels on them and running even closer to the caliper. Larger rotors will move the calipers out further (duh :rolleyes: ), so check your wheel to caliper clearance at full droop before jumping into this.

fwiw: putting a larger, 320 mm front rotor on my dual sport was one of the best mods I made, so I hope this idea works for you.

The gouge goes about half way through the aluminum -

We need to figure out how to add a brake booster. But shy of that I would be interested in bigger brakes, Or pedal extension to increase brake pressure LoL. Trying to hold the brakes hard enough when stopped on a hill can be difficult and unnerving.

How would the caliper contact the wheel at full droop? Do you think some wheel or hub flex may have contributed?

The Talon R has a nub that sticks out on the outer end of the a-arm and is very close to the wheel. Full travel gets it closer (maybe full compression, don’t remember the entire conversation).

Try some after market braided stainless/teflon brake lines. It'll give more stopping power, and will firm up the brake pedal feel.

That sounds like a good idea.
I’m not sure my pads bedded in properly, I may have to scuff up the pads and rotors a bit.
