If you don't use the rear seats, or very rarely use them, just remove the latch. You can ziptie/ratchet strap the dump levers so they can't open in the off chance you're using the rear seats versus wanting to utilize the dump bed. I've had sticks/twigs/mud and other junk get in there and bind up that safety latch. Just yank it out and enjoy your dump bed working trouble free :).

I give up Honda hasn't been helpful with getting info for fix..... pretty disappointed!
My dumbass put the fuel hose on the ends, fought it, and fought it. I was out there putting in my new rb3 bushings and my son and I decided to mess with it again. Ya, no one ever folded the bottom seats back up and latched them. SMH, works great now😂. Hope u get your situation figured out!

I sorta gave up on getting the bed to raise up after messing with it the last few months. Ad mentioned I could get it up by crawling into the bed and manually pushing the latch down which released the side that wasn't responding to the actual latch release. But as in the beginning when I was off roading again repeating from the first incident I had stopped and I heard a fairly loud POP and then later trying to figure out what it was, I discovered the bed would no longer raise. Now driving out of the garage yesterday I heard that same "pop" the bed no longer lifts period...... Nice job Honda
