Why ?YUASA GYZ16H - a 16 amp hour battery was in my 2015. That said I ordered my new one from Rocky Mountain and their online parts said to use the 12 amp hour battery. Without looking any harder I ordered it and it's working fine. I don't use the winch much and don't have any extra lighting so I don't expect any issues. Knowing that I'd be sure and get the 16 amp hour one next time.
Larger rated batteries work better in low temperatures and under higher loads like winches and extra lights. Why ?

Do you use a battery tender at all? If not, personally I'd just go with a mighty max brand off of Amazon and save yourself some money. Thanks! My 2015 battery is no good anymore and it's time. Honestly, if it's the original I'm super impressed! In AZ usually I'm happy to get 1-2 years out of one!
I should note that mine was working well also, but since I see many of the 2015 guys running into battery issues around the 5 year point and I was planning a trip to Montana this fall I figured I might as well not take the chance.
