As I’m someone that’s not having any fun unless I’m winchin’ my way thru the willywags, the stock battery and charging system have been fine. Like any other tool, manage your systems. My ol 8274 and a 60 some amp alternator would work a winchhole all day with up to 300 ft of cable to get 50 or more rigs to the next obstacle with just one quality battery…..

Really, you don’t need 3 batteries/isolators/battery heaters and just use your brain and common sense?

You probably even know what a snatch block is.

Amazing - good stuff👍.

Old fellas like me are highly amused these days at new vehicle window stickers with 240 amp alternators. We’d coulda run Midtown Manhattan on that much juice…….!

I know what you mean there Splorin - I can remember taking my 30A alternator off my truck to the parts store back in the 80's as a core and the parts gut asking if I wanted another 30A or the "new" 100A? I could not think of what all I could possibly bolt onto my truck to use that 100A output. Heck, I think even a Premere Power welder only uses a 180A alternator.
