Thanks for the response.
But, definitely will be looking elsewhere for a rack. I would have hoped to get more service from your rack than the OE. It's a great deal of work to replace every 1500 to 2000 miles.

Anybody that's spent a bit of time fixing older cars n trucks knows about the gear adjustments on steering boxes. I learned in 1968. Don't be a "Chicken" to adjust it. Its a 5 minute job and you can't really hurt it if you use just a bit of common snese (or follow instructions from all over the internet).

Anybody that has pulled a steering rack off a Talon knows that it isn't a 5 minute job. If you have a trick to adjust on the machine please share.. JMHO

Did RB3 say that you have to remove the rack to adjust it? Just curious.

The rack can be pulled without removing the diff if you pull the snap ring and seal off the pinion shaft and yank the shaft out. All I do to the diff is pull the mounting bolts and slide it forward. Easy peasy.....

Edit: Thats with the RB3 rack. I have no idea if it can be done to a stock rack, never tried.

Don't count out the Rackboss 2.0. We don't do the fancy billet casing, but I'm pretty sure ours is the only dual bushing rack out there...and, cycle for cycle, it should outlast every other one on the market because of that dual bushing design. Its the standard with all the Popo and Kawie guys. The X3 guys were praising the ST billet rack forever but now finding out a billet case doesn't mean the same stock design isn't going to last any longer.
Which rackboss for a 2022 honda talon x-4 live valve? I only see description for a 1000R? Maybe SuperATV is not compatible w X-4 LiveValve.

Well...we recently canned the X model racks for 2 reasons.

1. They didn't sell as many as we had hoped, likely because they are a smaller machine and the OEM racks don't go bad as often.
2. They have a different turning ratio than the R racks, and using the R rack in an X model cut down on the steering radius. It bolts up and works just fine, the R rack just isn't as tight.

Its back on the review list, but I don't know when we'll go back and revamp the turning ratio for the X models.

The only difference in the OEM racks were the housing width. Honda made the R racks wider so the they couldn't physically move any further, it bottomed out on the inner knuckle.

We machined an R rack down for our race car to make it X width before our RaceCo rack showed up.

That makes more sense. I was just repeating my PM's excuse. Lol! Good to know.
