I just ordered my winch and from everywhere I look at installs the cables are extremely long and coiled up under hood. Does anyone know off hand what gauge and eyelet size they are so I can pick some crimp on eyelets from the auto store and have them ready to install when the winch gets here? Thanks for the help

Not sure about KFI, but most are the same.
My SuperWinch uses 6 gage.

As for eyelets, Can't find any info.
Get ones with a hole about the size of a standard #2 pencil with a wide ring.

I think it should be 1/4" hole for the battery and solenoid, 5/16's would also work and may give you more room.

I called KFI looks like the 4500 is indeed 6 awg cable but could tell me much on ring size. I was guessing 5/16 would work as well.

I'm doing a bunch of cable work on mine and am using 4 gauge with 5/16 rings, they are a bit big but should be ok.

And to the OP, I have the same winch and will be shortening the included #6 cables.
