Remove the heat shield bolts. Use a a file or dremel to remove the threads where the bolts go through the frame. My bumper is 1 1/2 x 3 tube with 1 inch square tube to mount to the 500. After I removed the bolts and cleared the frame from the threaded part for the heat shield bolts. I put the square tubing in then figured out how far I needed my bumper to stick out. Then tack welded everything up. Then I marked the heat shield bolt holes and drilled those out into the 1 inch square tube didn’t have to go all the way through just the top side. The sides that run into the frame extends inside about 8 inches or so. I used 1/4 or 5/16 bolts to mount the bumper through the frame. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what your looking for. Good luck
