Yes it works but for the mount where the rear window goes just use a zip tie to reattach, works fine that way.

You don’t have to cut an reweld them. Mine with the zip ties is as solid as it ever was. And if you use good black zip ties, you will never notice.

I wouldn’t do that, just use a zip tie, the zip tie is plenty strong to hold it, doesn’t look bad and can be returned to stock. The plastic retainer isn’t worth all that work, imo.

When you do it leave off the plastic, just run the zip tie through the mount in my pic above and the net.
