Good initial review, thanks. To a varying degree engine heat getting to the seat and cab (in warm weather) is an issue on most UTV's. Same with noise from the engine, transmission, and exhaust. The seat literally became hot on Pioneer 1000 I rode in a couple years ago. What was interesting is I had a Honda CRF 1000 Africa Twin which utilizes essentially the same motor and transmission, and even though you straddle that drivetrain when riding it I never noticed much heat.

Get aftermarket assassins or JBS clutch springs and all the throttle jerk will be gone according the Ridge forums. It will also clear 30’s with zero rub. I read all the different forums just because I enjoy it.

Well, I've been around this forum for a minute. Started with a Pioneer 500, then moved to a 1000-5. I've owned it for 5 years, using it no less than once a week but often daily. It's been a great machine for my needs. I haven't posted here much at all the last few years though.

Anyway, Kawasaki has some big discounts on their Ridge models and having a sealed cab with HVAC. HVAC was always the only thing that could have gotten me away from my Honda as it has been flawless.

Well it's looking like I'm jumping ship. Between the HVAC, sweet interior, plush suspension, standard 3 year warranty, and a huge discount I couldn't resist. I am nervous that I could be making a mistake...but we will see. My dad bought a Teryx in 2020 and has beaten the hell out of it for 5000 miles and it's been incredibly durable. My hope is the Ridge will be too.

Unfortunately, being a new model, there isn't much of a forum presence like there is here for the Hondas. There also isn't much out there for aftermarket stuff - but the Ridge is pretty much done right out of the gate. But, no backup light????? seriously? There's a few little things like that but the sealed cab with HVAC and COMFY seats - pretty nice...
I just sold our 2017 Teryx T2. The thing was loud and hot but it was bullet proof. Rough ride but would do everything (and maybe more) than our Talon. More of a crawler than a speed demon but it would crawl up anything. Don't be afraid!
