450 Watts is the best guess. I don't know why Honda doesn't spec such details.Does anybody know what the average amperage output of the alternator is?

Could be, if you don't have dual batteries. That is consistent with the 40 amp main fuse in the battery box. No need to put more than a 50 amp fuse on anything, more than 40 amp draw and you're looking for a walk home, no? If IIRC more than 40, you blow the main fuse. Bypass that fuse and draw more than 50, if we are correct you are killing your battery.
If we're correct, it doesn't really matter how many batteries, the system is wattage negative when drawing over 500 watts so any amount of storage will eventually be drained. Shut it off and you walk if you can't jump start it.Could be, if you don't have dual batteries.
Not necessarily, battery isolator takes care of that, I'm never walking. If we're correct, it doesn't really matter how many batteries, the system is watt negative drawing over 500 watts so any amount of storage will eventually be drained. Shut it off and you walk if you can't jump start it.

Indubitably, that's why a dual battery install, which is cheaper than a Honda roof, (though far more time consuming) is a good approach if you've got a bunch of electronic mods, and particularly if you're inclined to set for extended periods with the sound bar blasting out your tunes, as I am.In your case that would be correct but others would probably be well advised to keep an eye on there wattage consumption and stay under 400.
New to this site. Ready to run 6 ga positive wire to the hood area, wondering about adding breaker close to battery in case of downstream short. Also thinking about protecting wire from rubbing with wire loam. Need suggestion on running wire and a breaker, saw the post on Bussman breaker. Just hooking up a winch. Is it OK to use the frame as ground considering the short factory ground from the stock battery to the frame. Thanks. 2017 P500.I have everything mounted and hooked up , now all I need to do is add a breaker !!!
This is going to make it so much easier to add accessories.............no more running wires back to the battery !!!

Yes, you should install an 80-100 amp circuit disconnect in the OEM battery box for the 6 gauge wire you're running, and split shield loam is always a good idea.New to this site. Here's how I did mine.. what winch do you have?New to this site. Ready to run 6 ga positive wire to the hood area, wondering about adding breaker close to battery in case of downstream short.
