Mine was fine but I caught it right away, I have not had any issues that I can tell. I would bet yours will be fine unless you were over extending it through multiple dropouts to damage the internals.

I was at TO at RRB I know Sat morning it was still intact. I guess it came off sometime Sat. Loaded up Sun morning and came home.
