I'm wanting to turn my 700-2 into a 700-4, I'm asking if I were to buy a 700-4 bed would I be able to take mine off to replace it with the 700-4 bed

The frame is identical, so yes...BUT, there is more than just the bed.

Rops parts, including the extended nerf bars. Plastic under the seats, etc.

I dont know if it's still true...but someone did the math once, and to do a complete 2-to-4 conversion to factory levels with new parts was likely more than the difference between just trading your 2 in on a 4. The key would probably be to have a salvage 4 that you can pick parts off of. Unless, you JUST want the bed and don't care about all the details...
