@trigger oh yeah spacers are a must for sure. Won’t be any off camber riding until there on that’s for sure common sense when you go up you go out anybody that says difference is crazy.

I imagine this is the case particularly with the stock rims - my ITP wheels have a wider offset than stock, so I run them without spacers and I have no stability issues even in some crazy terrain.

Yes if I had some offset wheels I wouldn’t worry about it. But here in wv the terrain can get terrible and it needs widened out.

What's funny is when guys put taller tires with no spacers on stock wheels and tell you it rides great and isn't any tippier. Lol, it's a pucker fest and until you ride one that's truly stable you just don't know any better. ;)

Looking to upgrade to 26’s next year, on stock wheels. What size spacer do you recommend?

Depends what set up you're planning to go with, 9's and 11's, same size all around? They'll be different sizes if your going for an even track width.

Yep, 9’s and 11’s most likely.

You could run 1" or 1.5" on all four and have a pretty even track width then. It'll be stable with 1" if you're looking to stay close to 50".

Thank you for the reply. I’m sure this info is out there, but what are you running, tire size and spacers?

Edit: Thanks to all that replied. I’ve only had my P5 for 5 months so I appreciate the input from all the more experienced owners.

Mine's set up a little different than most. I've ran just about every configuration at one time or another. Right now, 26x11's on 5+2's on all four. 1" spacers on the rear only.

I'm thinking of 27-10 12 all round on stock wheels with 1.5'' spacers all round but wondering if the 27-10-12 tires will fit the front stock wheels 12 x 6.Do you think i can get away with 4'' wider tire for front...Also wondering to of it would be harder to steer with 10'' wide without power steering..Thank in advance Trig.

I had 9's on the stock wheels and Belle Tire didn't b**** about mounting them, I would think 10's would work. Don't know what brand you intend to get, some don't run true to size and generally run smaller. I'm sure it'll be a little harder to steer but other guys are doing it, might suck in a real tight spot trying to turn around though.

Tire companies specs can be vague sometimes. I've used 10" radials on stock 6's on a lot heavier and faster machine and they were only 25's. Keeps my beads out of trouble. Taller would be even better. Had to dial in air pressure at first but they worked great all around either in swamps or 65mph fire road stupidity.

Thanks Trigger. I saw a post you made on another thread showing your machine and your lights. You’ve spent some time making that rig your own! Enjoyed the music too, Rammstein and ZZ Top can make an angry white man like me happy!

I spent some time reading this forum and finally decided on some 12” ITP Delta Steel Wheels 5+2 with Maxxis Zillas 27x9 on the front and 27x11 on the rear. I was going to buy some spacers at first and use my factory wheels but after I priced the spacer and the installation of the new tire, it was just a little more to buy this setup on eBay delivered with the tires already mounted.

Thanks for the pics. What is the width now? (since you have your tape measure out!) ;)
