Before I start, I'm not looking for a fix. I read the fixes and I'm working on it.

My question is this, my 20 deluxe never gave me a major heat issue in 4300 miles. The 24 deluxe has 150 miles and the heat is very very noticeable. I thought honda addressed to heat when I looked under the seat and it was very different than my 20. Does anyone else notice the 24 being hotter than older models??

Just curious. Thanks.

Not sure what the older 1000/5. Heat was like , but my 24 I had to add a heat shield , it is much better . I also thought the new 23-24 had heat better , but was not good enough

Never been in anything other than my 2023 1000-5 but if that is improved I feel bad for yall with the older ones. I had to add a fan under the seat to make it tolerable.

My 2020 was way better than the 24. Wish I kept and fixed the 20 now. Oh well

My 2021 P1k5 put off a lot of heat under the seat. I put a fan under the seat and added foil-backed heat shield under the seat - especially along the back where the seat belts come through. That part could sometimes make pancakes, or at least produce a__ butter and syrup. :p
I don't know if the 2024 is better or worse than a 2021.

If you address the heat issues you're going to lose the spa effect when going through water. These machines can be warm but the steam derived when running through water is horrible, to the point you could cook rice doing so. Considering the design, I'm sure they would have addressed this considering all the blow back. I'm guessing completely sealing off the issue probably increases operating temperatures which heats up mechanicals which could exacerbate other issues. Increased temperatures probably aren't ideal for the transmission and clutches, cold water and the warmer cases could be interesting, and a roll over blaze could be more probable from oil from the crankcase. Every fix needs to be weighed exponentially. Some have had transmission shifting issues. I realize many of these are ground/battery generated, but would be interesting if there's a common thread. Transmissions tend to fail at higher temps. IDK? I don't use mine as much as some of the other machines I have and figured I would deal with the issue considering. It does make a great vehicle to visit neighbors or go into town for dinner or the Post Office

In the mountain of NC it probably is ok , but bring it down south where our lows can be your highs . 95-110 heat index it’s hot and the seat is unbearable

No you don’t. After you take care of the heat problem you should soon realize the 24 is much more machine than your 20 was. It’s vastly improved

I bought some automotive heat shield that is foil backed adhesive foam on amazon. I pulled the seat/seatback then just took all of the plastic off and put it on the back of it. even pulled the kick panel behind calves. I did this about 3 times before I was happy with it. heat is no longer a problem and much quieter too.

did you use 3 layers or redo it 3 times before being satisfied. Mine is hot! Here isn AZ at 110+ the machine is just about useless at times. I have a dog that is very obedient and loves to go riding. Without realizing I was cooking her I put a leash on the pool bar behind the drivers seat for our for our first rides. Thinking I would keep her from jumping out riding in a low to ground open vehicle. Now when I drop the tailgate and call her to jump in she runs several yards away. If I call her in a stern voice she hides. The only thing she is disobedient about. It mush have cooked her good!

I did it in three passes. Each time I determined areas I needed to work on some more. Didn’t do the part behind my calves. Then added that. Third time had heat coming around passenger seat belt. Still need to work on it some more

I’m getting really good at taking all those panels off and putting them back on. lol. At least the seat back is only 5 bolts.
