Looks like the LED headlights are now a $400 add on. I think I'll stick with my 2018. I remember when the 1000 came out there was a few guys that bought the Led headlights to add to there 700's. I believe they were about $70 at the time. Dang inflation.

The Trail looks to be about 2.3” longer overall than the Deluxe, but the wheel base is the same. Anyone know which part of the unit this extra length is coming from?

LED headlights were never that cheap. Honda offered them as an upgrade for the base 1000 in 2016. They've always been $400.

Time to start looking for a wrecked Talon or Pioneer to steal them off of.

They really were. I picked up some myself for my 700.
It was a pricing error I do believe.

I am pretty sure the i4wd for the deluxe was a misprint on the US site. As for the shocks, if they are actually better then the $4k price difference for the Trail upgrade isn't great. It is basically a winch, shocks, and i4wd. I could go either way on i4wd, and a winch is easy to add.
It's $2000 difference from Deluxe to Trail models

2018 I paid 18k OTD for a 1000-3LE..4 yrs later and 2k more??? SIGN ME UP.

I had a 14-700 then 16-1000 then 18-1000. Every yr it felt different and better. Drove a buddies 2020, wow its better yet. Honda has made changes to the DCT and ignition timing every yr thats isn't released. Notice on the 22..ignition timing change for smoother shifting?

You can only pick apart hard items based on parts fiche, but the reality is what they are doing to the CPU and shifting algorithms....automotive, motogp, f1, it's a trickle down process. They'll address the complaints (cup holders, pre wired switches, cab heat..etc..) but the base of the pioneer will never change. Only get better

Was the roof always that expensive from Honda? What brand/model of a winch is it? Also, with all the drivetrain changes they are talking about, no updated HP rating? Hopefully they send units to the media soon, so we can get real world opinions.

When the oem roof first came out, I paid $465 in fall of 2015 for the 1000-5, now they are $850 to $950 for black/gray unit.

Parts fiche shows we lost LED headlights on the base Talon too. LEDs only come on the LV.

No one has mentioned the EPS controller is piggybacked on the EPS unit.

Those rat bastards at Honda stole another of @PaulF 's ideas. They shortened the cable distance between the controller and the EPS motor like @PaulF said would fix the EPS.

I bet that's why there was a long delay in the introduction of the 22 year model - they saw his thread and ran out to change the design.

I doubt they pay much attention to me but thanks for the compliment (I think it was a compliment).

Problem is they only upgraded the Pioneer and not the Talon. What were they thinking???
