After a 100+ trips across that 454 miles of nothing, I can assure you the only proper way to cross Nebraska is in a SR71 Blackbird in 4.5 minutes.

Carla and I are headed out to the Taos/Red River, NM area a week from tomorrow (the 25th). Staying a few days with friends who have a cabin at Valle Escondido, a few miles west of Angel Fire. We'll be trailering Tally (my wife's name for our Talon) and hope to do a bit of riding in the mountains above the valley and a day in/around Red River. Although we've been there many times with ATV's this will be our first time in the high country with the SxS.

As Oklahoma doesn't require a tag for trailers, I thought it appropriate to create one for our Tally-carrying trailer.

Yeah cutting it close, trailer won't be ready for me to pickup until next Friday. Will do pictures when I get it. Trailer is built, they are adding the rubber flooring, full length E track, electric kit and generator box.

Well the other route south across I40 and up I25 is 300 miles further round trip. Not worth the extra 6hrs driving.

Yep. Plus you’ve seen that god forsaken area thru Nebraska before. No reason to go back.

Nebraska is I80 300 miles north out of my way, the south I40, I25 is TN, AR,TX, CO. Nashville alone is a 3hrs traffic jam waiting to happen every day, I'm only 40 miles north of I-40

To clarify this is the area down by Silverton where some folks are stopping to ride prior to going to taylor park.....correct?
