Calendar **2019** Taylor Lake Colorado Group Ride [Sep 6, 2019] (CO)

No reservations in Lake City area yet. I'm thinking about dry camping one or two nights.
If anyone is familiar with the area and knows of a place accessible to travel trailers. Please contact me.

When I called the park they said they had 9 camp sites. These would accommodate travel trailers. I think they have some pics of dry camping trailers on the website

Tram.... Williams creek campground is about seven to ten miles out of lake city... camped there couple of times... always extremely friendly camp host if she is back this year...
Don’t know how big a rig they can take since I am usually in a sprinter.... but pretty sure it is all good...

Here's my tentative schedule

Aug. 31st.
Leave home a drive to Carlsbad N.M. KOA (500miles)
Sept. 1st.
Travel to Las Vegas N.M.(260miles)
Sept.2nd.
Ride in Carson N.F. with @Montecresto and his better 1/2
Sept.3rd.
Travel to Lake City Co.(350miles)
Sept.4th.
Ride the Alpine Loop and other trails in area
Sept.5th
Travel to Taylor Lake Co. (100miles)
Sept. 6th --9th. Hondasxs group ride

If anyone would like to meetup and ride the Alpine Loop with us, hit me up. Im hoping we can just find a place near the loop and dry camp a couple nights. I know there will be at least 4 members in our group.

We have a cabin on the Alpine Loop on lake San Cristobal Sept. 2 thru 5. We will try to meet up with you all.

There should still be plenty of snow left by September.... I don’t know what @Montecresto is experiencing down in New Mexico... but upper elevations here in buena vista area got another dump this week....
Tincup pass and a bunch we rode this time last year still closed by avalanche....
Looking forward to September... should be awesome

Whine? @YardDog and I just thought you liked to get soaked first thing in the morning after a rain at night, we parked ours with the front a lot lower than the back to allow the water not to accumulate on the roof and you parked yours flat, you sure where chirping at us for not telling you how to park in the rain next morning after you got soaked! HA! If I would have thought about it I would have told you how to park! Looks like ya'll had a great time!
