P1000 1000-5 won’t get out of low gear

Duck hunting so it’s gotten cold and wet. Can force shift lever to high or reverse, but it won’t come out of low. Any ideas?

Possibly broken shift cable on the sub trans end. I've seen the plastic sleeve in the rubber boot break and the cable just bends instead of moving the arm.

Take the front seat off and look at the shift arm, see it the cable is being moved on that end. You can also shift the arm manually if the cable is indeed broken.

If you check for ice on cable and shift links. Don’t force it from leaver . If it is warm enough to have thawed out and still won’t shift cables most likely cables problem
