Congrats on the ride. I just got my 1000-5 Deluxe last week and now I have to get a trailer.

Curious to know how long that trailer is? (7K 14'?) I'm trying to fit my sxs and a atv sideways on the front.

like your machine and build so far. Nice looking garage! Like your dogs too! I’m a dog lover and have a Black lab. Had 2 (brothers) but lost one a year ago this April.

Your trailer will be fine. I would suggest some Ericsson tie down kit. I’ll leave a link. I’ve been pulling a 16’ tandem for my P1K5 since I bought it in 16’ with no issues. I wouldn’t go any smaller.
@P1000_DLux, with that size trailer you can put your P1 on with a quad sideways in the front. I don’t have a pic of that, but I did when I still had a Fourman.
here’s a link for the Ericsson kit. Easier on and off and more secure during transport.

You can see the yellow wheel chocks and straps for the Ericsson kit. Mine were Cabelas made for by Ericsson my set for the back is Ericsson. Anyway, this is an old pic before all my currant mods, wheels and tires. And without the rear Ericsson’s.

I like the Erickson set up. That’s on my to do list. I didn’t originally want those standing up off the floor not allowing me to lay things flat, but I rarely use the trailer for anything else anyway and there is still a top of room between the tires.

Nice lookin buggy too @Remington.

How heavy is the 16 foot trailer? I'm planning on pulling it with a 2016 Suburban tow rated at 6500lbs. but I don't want to be on the upper end of that.

The SxS and ATV weigh in at 2500lbs with fuel.

Never weighed it. It’s a little heavy for 16’. Everything from the deck up is square tubing. It is just angle on a lot of trailers. You’d be good tho with the ‘burb. I’ve pulled my 700 Pioneer and a Rubicon no trouble with my half ton GMC and no trailer brakes.

Also hauled two 800-1000 pound rolls of hay plus the 700 with ease.

My Dad took my old 700 off my hands. My papaw bought the 700 new in 2014. It was the first one at our local dealer. He then bought the first Camo 2016 1000 that they had so I ended up with the 700. Now Dad has the original 700, first Pioneer in our family that we have all claimed ownership of. Here’s a pic from our first ride together.

Did a little more wind proofing tonight around the bottom of the lower windshield and around the back of the door/seat gap where the lever is to dump the bed. Gonna take a ride to try it out now.
