Local lake here is around 7 miles x 4 miles and about 5-6' deep basically formed from damming the river. . It gets crazy in heavy winds.

I've heard it's swallowed more boats due to rogue waves than even the ocean. Not sure if that's true.

Boat lift needs some hardware replaced.
Be easier to do without the boat on it.

I've seen quite a few pulled into the marina upside down. when they forecast 3'-5' waves reality is they are usually more like 4'-6' with an occasional 7-8 footer. what makes it so dangerous is it's shallow, avg.18'on the west end 40' in the central bason and around 100' down near Buffalo. many times I have seen it go from dead flat like glass to 6 footers in 15 minuets time that's how most get in trouble..
