I’m too tired to write much after having spent part of the night in the hospital recovering from a Clindamycin reaction. So, without further ado, the pictures speak for my words for now. After a few days of interstate travel I decided to get off the highway and try a scenic route through the Badlands National Park. It was ok. Not really worth the $25 to drive through and full of Chinese tourists that don’t know how to drive or park. There were some flowers in full bloom and I did see some cool fossils inside the visitors center. The whole park looked like what anyone can see in Utah.

The cool part about Badlands NP to me was you've driving for hours on flat straight roads (east to west on 80/90 anyway). Left turn off the interstate and pay the ranger. Then all of a sudden drop offs and scenery. Mt. Rushmore was probably our biggest disappointment of that whole Sturgis trip we took.

Glad to see you visiting my back yard!

Yes that route is a bit touristy.

Ride Guide – South Dakota ATV

If you want to ride in the badlands, farmingdale is a pretty good place.

I personally like the trails in the northern black hills my self.

A lot smaller than your lead to believe isn't it? I'm still glad I went. It was early morning and had no trouble getting in and out. I'd like to ride my Honda there and screw around at that little tourist trap at the bottom.

One of the only things that I’ve ever made a point to see that I was like...really, that’s it. Like you, glad we stopped and saw it but just felt like I overpaid for a post card. Enjoyed seeing it from the road for free just as much if not more.

Well, I made it to @CumminsPusher ’s place and I’m feeling a whole lot better. Since I’ve never seen them, CP took me down to Spokane Falls. Tomorrow we’re going riding in I think, the Coeur d’Alene national Forest.

E Gad I’m beat. Put 100 miles on her today. Got up to 47 mph and created stretch marks on me face from smiling so dang much. Ain’t nothing like it. Introduced new scratches and character marks. It is by far a much smoother ride them the 500 even with stock suspension. I did eat a nice rock and a couple of trees so I got some new dents in the rims but I’ll beat them out tomorrow. Going to bed now I’m wiped out

Went down to the lake with my buddy hound dog to pick up his mail from the mail boat man and took some nice pictures of the water and found a really interesting piece of driftwood along with an old pioneer’s hand hewn axe head.

On Saturday we rode a whole lot But I didn’t take too many photos. So many flowers are in bloom. Indian Paintbrush, daises, Fothergila, and bear grass which only blooms every 5-6 years.
The signatures are from the warming hut near the Horse Haven airstrip. I signed mine and my grandfathers initials a couple years ago. It was nice to still see them there along with @CumminsPusher ’s family.

Coure' de Alene area is my fondest memory from when I was hauling RV's nation wide . I would move there in a heart beat.
