P500 Won’t shift up?

So tonight I came home and wanted to go for a ride and it shifted to second gear but it would not shift to third. I could hear it click but it was like it was locked....it would downshift to nesutral and reverse but nothing back up! So I turned off ignition and restarted and everything was back to normal, any ideas?

If you don't have the seatbelt fastened it is limited to 15mph and won't shift higher.

Mine is a 2015 and I’ve yet to fasten seatbelt and stills been up to 41 several times! It just was strange

The speed limiter was new for 2017 models.

My 2015 did that twice in the first year I had it and never again. My guess was computer error since turning off and then back on fixed it immediately. 6,400 miles now.
