P500 winch wiring

Wondering about the power for the winch control toggle switch. I just ran a 6 gauge positive wire from the battery to the winch contactor/control, I think I can just take power from that terminal.

I would get control power from somewhere that is switched with the key.

You can get the oem wiring harness from your dealer or online for like $15. It plugs in behind the dash and provides 4 switched hots and 2 grounds.

The wiring worked okay, my safety is physical, the remote switch is hard wired and plugs into an adapter plug on the dash. I will look into that clip in power feed. thx
