I am new to the SXS game and trying to buy my first SXS. I have finally narrowed it down to a Pioneer 1000-5 but they are hard to find new. I have been looking for a while and have found that it is a sellers market for used machines. I would like to know, is there any differences between 2016-2021 machines? I know about the heat problems in the 2016-17, but is there any other major differences in years or in models that I need to be looking at? I have been saving money for a while so I want to make sure I can get the best bang for the buck but still not get something I will not be happy with. Any help would be appreciated.

ps I'm in Georgia if anybody is selling.

If it was my I'd try to stick to an 18 and newer- I think the 16s had some clutching and water intrusion issues that was supposed to be fixed in 17 but I'm just a little extra OCD 😅

I dont believe they have made any updates except for stickers and colors offered since 17/18

There were many in line updates to the Pioneer 1000 series that weren't advertised. Getting a 2018 or newer model year will include all those updates.

My 2020 has had 3 recalls..... Steering joint, parking collar and fuel pump. I would imagine they will still fix those even if you buy used.
