As a first time TO attendee, I've been enjoying reading the posts from the P1K guys. Deep water, broken parts, assorted hijinks

As a P5 guy (with no Crocs), what trails should be on my 'Oh, hell no' list? :oops:
I do have full skid, A arm guards, 27" HTRs . . .

Not gonna ask which members are most likely to lead P5'ers into temptation, lol . . . 🍎🍎

Really looking forward to it!

Kinda along the same lines as this, but how are the current RRB (Sundquist) trail conditions? Good, Bad, Rutted, Dry, Slop?? Comparison to last years takeover? I think last years were some of the most rutted conditions I have rode in there. Some easy trails were a mess.

I am leading a novice crew around on Saturday and am curious.

@TripleB ? @JACKAL ?

I've not been on any royal blue(Sundquist unit) trails since January.

I lied. I did trail 2, 26 and 1 in March on a night ride. It took everything the pioneer 1000 had to make it up 26. There is a really sketchy spot at the end of the steep rutted hill. You have to go around a big uprooted tree. I was pretty sure I was gonna flip but @Adam490 assured me i would be fine, so I did it. I trust his driving knowledge lol

Trail conditions change dramatically over heavy traffic weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) compounded by wet weather. What I say trail conditions are today have no bearing on what they can be 7 days from now. That said there are some perennial Sundquist trails that guarantee a crapfest for novice drivers. Do not take them on trails 6, 7, 8, 9, 26, and ( 11 only if wet).

West of I75 the real Royal Blue unit the trails west of Norma Rd ( past Eternal flame) are marked.
For instance Trail 24 standing Stone trail is marked most difficult, as are many others take those sign ratings literally over there they can be steep, rocky, and dangerous even more so 48 hrs after big rains.

There is no replacement for experience, if you don't pre-run the trails, you're driving the group blind.

Yep, realize they change often, just looking for overall impression of current condition? Mostly how rutted they are.

We'll hit some with the experienced crew Weds and Thurs before the novice get there. I'm pretty familiar with all the areas. We'll be doing the prision ride Friday with them so I am good there. Trying to decide where to take them Saturday.

Might tag along if you all go to Standing Stone. Last ride was the first time I've been that way and it was a fun trail

Another way of asking my question maybe: What points of interest will I not be able to access?

Are we there yet?
Sand mines at top of Dragon's Back / Widowmaker and would avoid Jennings Creek Cascade near Trail 8 / 14 junction.
