What do you use for cleaning parts?

I've always used minerals spirits but the washer I'm looking to buy says to only use one of these.

Water/household detergents (PH6-B)
Paraffine, Jizer, Gunk, Odourless kerosene, Diesel

Does it specifically say NOT to use mineral spirits? I would think it would be fine considering some of your other options.
