P1000 What are you using for a trail jack ?

I am adding a Brick City Fab spare tire carrier to my 1000-5 and I am trying to decide what I need to do for a trail jack. I was considering a 36" high lift. but I am looking for other options and ideas that may be better.
What type of jack are you carrying and where are you mounting it?

Winch and a soft shackle.. but if you’re determined to have a jack or you’re not riding with other machines... I’d go with a Highlifter. Or some of the guys use a sissor jack for weight and space savings.

I had a highlighter type jack for a very short time on my 700, just too dang heavy, I had a UTV jack on it later but it was never quite tall enough without adding rocks, which to me is dangerous.

What @JTW said, 99% of the time if we are changing a tire, tierod, or axle its a winch to the upper portion of the ROPS. Usually it is another machine, but I have and you can do that solo with 2 well placed blocks and a possible extension if the tree placement isn't great. Sheds a large amount of cost/weight as I already have the soft shackle and blocks, and frees up space too.

I carry a scissor jack in my rear door...comes in handy when i need it.

This is what I did for storage. And as far as jacking the machine up I open the door on whichever side needs it and can get a pretty good grab on the bottom bar. Opening the door helps keep the jack straight.( Look at top of ROPS.)

48" high lift. They arent the steadiest but i replaced a tie rod saturday on a pretty steep hill and didnt die. So i guess ill keep using it.

Those of us old enough to remember using bumper jacks seem to do better with high lifts lol. I placed mine under stock tubing under frint of passenger door. Wife freaked out cause it started off leaning. With the grade we was on, it was level by time tire cleared the dirt lol

I remember the death trap bumper jacks.

I recessed one of my camper jacks into the tailgate. It protrudes about 2" into the bed, but doesn't interfere with what we carry. The same socket fits it and my stock lugnuts. I carry my 1/2" mid torque impact to run both.
I also carry 2 pulley blocks webbing and extra winch rope. I figure that covers is wherever we are.

Camper jacks are the way to go. Can usually be bought dirt cheap and have lots of lifting height. Most have a decent sized square pad for lifting as well.

Try a car junk yard for the trailer jacks. The last set of 4 I got for $10. Way cheaper then a rv shop.

Standard aluminum stock had to be milled down a little to slide in. The set up has worked well.
