P1000 Weekend of testing turned out to be fun

We weren't planning on going out this weekend but had to test e-brake and additional seating. Wound up only being my wife and daughter so I figured seating wasn't needed. We got there with the new trailer (nice to be able to carry additional weight on the trailer with no worries! Didn't bring bikes but 3 will fit as well) got there and had to go to the bathroom (outhouse) when I came out one of the guys of the large group was furious I pulled in so fast(honestly about 5mph) and gave me hell I almost hit his kid stated if I did it again he'd pull me out and beat my ass. I started to get upset but apologized and left for camp. We loaded everything and took off for who knows where. About 70miles in going up a creek we desided we'd do dinner differently in the creek. Was very relaxing we sat there for a few hours. Headed down the trail to a place called Lost Moose where we ran into a a few Polaris riders. They loved the rig and asked where we were camping we told them and they couldn't believe we went that far over that terrain and started asking many questions about the Honda. We then said we were headed back but being about 10:30pm they couldn't believe it. I said were use to staying up till 4-5am no big deal they just blank starred us. Headed back to camp over the mountains. The pic of the bald mountain through the windshield and others is in of the many we went across. It was about 4000 ft above camp and though it didn't look it was 25 miles out. When we arrived the guy that had given me hell came running frantically saying his buddy took off with his kids and some friends in a pickup, been gone 2hours. We quickly unloaded placed the rear seat on for them and took off looking. Finally found them they somehow got lost and escorted back to camp. He shook my had and apologized for earlier and said he gets scared of machines around his kids but felt I was in control. All of the kids wanted to ride in the sxs so I said as long as the kids are belted were good and we all took off. Finally the 1000-7 in use! We went everywhere no problems at all it handles surprisingly well. We had lights and stereo going even turned on the red/blue flashing had a ball. The kids all 5 and the adults were singing and giggling the whole time. Really turned out to be great and the problems were all turned around. Sometimes random things can't be reproduced.

Thank you cwaIton! It was the most relaxing weekend in forever. We've been so busy even on camp weekends it's a lot of work keeping everyones bikes maintained and up and going. A lot of entertaining every time. To go from 15-20 people down to three well ... It's needed sometimes. I was able to focus on my daughter. There were a couple stories here last week including @Delton that made me want it. So it became about "testing " which we did as well. Absolutely love the Pioneer and the comments from people with other makes they always "hear" incorrect things about the Hondas and if you know me I'll set the records straight I absolutely love meeting people and talking about the people we meet thats a big part of it.without people this wouldn't be fun for me. But this weekend again proved to me you can't judge a book by its cover aand hopefully did to the other group as well.

Also I'd also like to give another shout out to CreativeUTVGraphics as this did a perfect job of personalization for our family! We get lots of great comments on the trails! Great job!

Wow! @CumminsPusher, those views are spectacular! But since you did not take a photo as proof of your 7 person cargo I'm not sure it counts.......lol But sounds like you had a great time! Once again I'm envious!

I'll make sure to do better this weekend! I always have my phone out but I guess with all that was going on I failed.this was the only one I took but it came out bad for some reason and I look pissed lol and the kids aren't clear but my daughter was driving so it does drive well. The mountain is Mt. Baldy it overlooks our campspot by almost 4000 ft and about 15 miles as the crow flies about 30 miles of trails and dirt roads. One day awhile back in the 700 we said lets go there while sitting at camp and did it. That day it took almost 10 hours to find now 1 hour it's about time to do the first service I think,haven't checked actually I'm not even going to say mileage

I wonder if he can do the Honda letters on the back in reflective letters, for those states that require reflectors of some kind on the back( and sides ) to be street legal

That's awesome! That would be a fun experience with a responsible driver. If I were driving I would get lost in the driving experience and forget about my extra passengers above lol
