P1000 water intrusion

i'm looking for a mod/fix for water coming in under the foot pedals.i know there must be a fix and some clever individual has posted the hack,i just can't find it.any help?

Aint that a fn PITA. Who would leave such a hole?

I dont have a solution but I should have figured something out by now. I'm working on a salvage rig and as I get it back together I'm going to figure something out.

i don't know how bad it is for most,but i have to keep my left foot off the floor anywhere near a puddle.it just pours in around the seam of the floor just under the pedal.maybe i sprung the floor or something.
