I've had a Warn VRX winch with wired remote and OTRATTW lighted toggle winch in/out switch and winch power on/off toggle switch. I'm wanting to remove the wired remote and replace with the wireless remote (90288). I'm confused on the wiring. Can the wired remote setup be removed? Has anyone done this?

I used a different receiver (on the cheap at $20 - wireless receiver link ). This was on a new '21 P1,5 SE that came with the winch, but only a short wired remote. In the picture, the wireless receiver is just above the tool kit - above the receiver is the winch reversing relay, so the receiver wires were long enough to reach the terminals on the reversing relay. Did have to run power to the receiver, and although the winch was wired "always on" by Honda, I put a switch on the panel to power the receiver - - that way stray RFI can't inadvertently activate the receiver and potentially cause damage.
