Bought this from Amazon to use as a spare for $100 a couple of weeks back.
Wheel specs are here

I measured the wheel backspace the old fashion way and it's 5.5", the size of wheel is 15x7 on paper but measure 8" in reality.

I mounted the wheel in the rear to see if it's was going to fit fine and it does wheel only, waiting for the Parallax 30x10x15 to arrive to get it mounted and see what's up.

The only issue i have is the factory lugnuts won't fit, the OE ones are too big.

I actually like the wheel a lot, and i'm thinking perhaps run all 5 the same. I don't need the hassle of beadlocks, the rig pupose is trail and sure there are some rocky terrain here but factory 14-15psi is working fine so far for everythng i do with the rig. Plus this thing is not exactly where i put my money, i have a Jeep for that so i just want simple in this application.

I measured the backspace of the stock OE Talon rear wheel and that is 5 7/8". Don't know the true witdh of the factory rear wheel but specs say 15x8.

Would i have any issues with this combo as a spare ?
If i decide to get the other 4 matching wheels, would i see any issues because the 5.5" backspace ? seems literally 1/2" more poke out in the rear.
I need to measure the front backspace to see how they'll compare there.

While i get for the tire to arrive, do you guys think these lugnuts will fit ?

Yup, they'll fit. That's what most use when running aftermarket wheels. Honda uses a round profile (bubble) on the seat of the lugnut, most aftermarket wheels are set up for a 60° conical seat.

Got the new tire mounted today to the spare wheel.
This is the 30" Parallax (no wheel in this case, just the tire) compared to my 35" MT's mounted with my rig full weight on it.

This is the tire mounted on the wheel

And for the good stuff, the spare mounted on the Talon in the rear position

I wanted to see how much the wheel is moved towards the outside so i measured the distance from the tire sidewall to a fixed spot in the lower control arms.

With stock rear wheels and these Parallax 30x10x15 tires, that distance is 2 9/16" on both sides
For illustration purposes this is the the measurement from the driver side rear

With the Vision wheel and the new tire combo, that distance is 2 11/16, so literally 1/8" more poke compared to the stock rear OE wheels.

For the front, the backspace on the Talon OE fronts is 5 5/8", instead of 5 1/2" like the rears. Don't know the real width on the stock wheels because i haven't have the opportunity to have the wheels without the tires.
In any case, using a similar approach for the front to find how much poke there is in the front, i measured the gap between the inside of the tires to the upper control arms eyelet bolt on the frame .
The tires have a little line all the way across on the inside so i used that to keep everything the same on both sides.

I measured 17 7/8's on both sides with steering wheel straight.

With the new wheel/tire combo, that gap is now 18 1/4, so that would be a total of 7/16" total poke out per side.

Knowing what i know now, i'm thinking about replacing the stock wheels with Vision 351-157136SB54 15x7 wheeels
These wheels have a feature called Tire Lock, similar to Method Bead Grips, they're not beadlocks but frankly i don't want the hassles of beadlocks

With this setup my front width will go from 69" to 70", while the rear will go from 68" to 68 1/4"
So 1" spacers in the rear will put that width in the 70" range.

See measurements on post#22 from my Palallax 30x10,15 thread.
Got me a set of GBC Parallax 30x10x15 tires for my Talon 1000R

But for now this vision 451 combo will do as spare whether i'm keeping the stock wheels or go with the Vision 351's in the future.

Beadlocks are not really needed unless you are constantly running around in the 8-10psi range rock crawling or are running less than 15psi and sliding around corners at high speed all the time trying to peel the outer beads off. The weight savings of non beadlock wheels makes a huge difference performance wise.
