P1000 Vented glass windshield

I picked up this glass windshield built by SXS windshields. I put some reflective red tape over the white background that says USA to match the pioneer. I had one of these windshields

on my last 3 RZRs and the lower vents work well but not quite enough to eliminate the dust vortex that a full windshield creates. I always added several 1 inch round holes around the top for summer riding and I would install buttons in the holes during the winter. This mod greatly helped to eliminate the dust vortex. For the Honda P1000 I found that Artic cat sells a 3 1/4 inch by 16 inch vent kit for poly windows that you can open and close. About $38 from ROcky mt. ATV. I will install 3 of these along the top above the glass in the metal. This should provide plenty of flow to prevent dust.

The arctic cat vents are nice.

I was glad to find some flat vents. I used to use Gold WIng windshield vents but they are curved and required a bit of finness to make them work. I will post pictures once I get them and install them.

I had 3 of these show up today so I guess I will be installing them this weekend.

I decided to just install 2 so I could leave the center section to install my rear view mirror. Here is the finished look. More details in my build thread coming.
