P1000 Vent lines...

Is the lowest vent line from the factory the rear?
Also, I noticed some dope on the vent line end on the rear. These things must have some considerable expansion when warmed up - I had only been riding for 5 minutes around the yard.
I added some pics to verify I had located the lines. May not be necessary to redo the front in my case as it looks to be dash high to begin with. Also, is the clear tube pictured the fan line?

Just getting ready to put the "Joey snorkel" on and do the vent lines. Are all the vent tubes the same size? In other words, if I take one off of my pioneer and bring it to the auto parts store, am I good? Also, are there clamps that you used to secure the lines or do they stay pretty well on their own?

the sub tranny vent tube is larger than the diffs... I believe the sub tranny is 3/16 and the diffs are 1/8

Someone else posted they used 5/32 and 7/32. It may have been @Delton.

Lol, no worries. Because I tend to overdo things, I will probably label each line before removing and then bring them all with me. I hate getting into a project and then realizing I have the wrong stuff.

lol... memory is starting to come back now... I ended up using reducing barbs so that I could use the larger tubing on the rear diff too (since I had bought it based on the size of the sub tranny tubing before I realized that the diffs were smaller). just another possible solution if you don't want to buy multiple tube sizes...

Sorry, I'm late as usual, to the party again lol. Have a good excuse. Wife and I were on the 800 cruising Deals Gap yesterday lol. Yeah I'm the one that said I thought the smaller lines were 5/32 and 7/32. I cut a small piece off each and took them to parts store. Guy let me go back and match them up best I could with vac hose. Then I bought a variety pack of assorted barbed fittings(plastic). Then when I ran lines, I didn't disturb the factory lines where they connect to the machine. I used the connectors to attach to the original hoses. Those stock hoses are securely attached and I didn't want to take a chance mine didn't seal. Hope that helps

This is exactly what I did. I also ran twine the length from origin to my planned end point to get the length right. I got mine at NAPA, but I think any autoparts store carries them.

Thanks for all the feedback. I like @Delton idea for connecting to the lines already in place. Now i just need some garage time to get it done. Oh, and order a new hood to drill through for the snorkel

Is there any concern with the I.D. of the barb being too small to let the expanded air escape slower than the expansion still resulting in seal push?
Or, is it such a slow process the I.D., as long as there is one, will be of no concern?

Nah no concern whatsoever. Pressure is minimal and is slow lol
