I fell in love with 67-69 Cuda fastbacks after my uncle Jim moved to Dallas. He bought a new Formula S 340 back in 68. He took me back to Dallas for a month or so in the summer and my cousin and I layed down in the back, listening to those duals and watching the rain run off of that back glass. After that he bought a 69 Coronet R/T.

My Plymouth memories are not very good....mostly remind me of what a pile the slant 6 was.

Maybe it was just mine. I had a baby blue 1979 Volare like the one below. It had a DuPont overhaul and a slant 6 in it and it was my first car.

Chick magnet it was not!

I never could figure out how the airfilter had so much oil in it all the time. Before I could pull the carb and intake, sister never added oil to it for a month and a connecting rod decided it was going to ventilate the block.

Sounds like you started off on the wrong foot. I was blessed with caring, loving family on my mom's side who had several Mopars that would be collectible now. My mom and her sister had a 66 and 67 Coronet,my grandmother had a white on white 69 Dart 340, etc.

Oh no doubt. The car was a complete basket.

My father talks about my uncles ‘cuda that had a 440 six pack if I remember correctly. Dad had a AMC Hornet SC 360. Both cars would be crazy valuable had they kept them and took care of them.

I know where the AMC Hornet SC 360 that my dad had is, but it is a shell of it self as it was converted into a drag car and most of it was wrecked etc.

Haven’t been able to locate the ‘cuda.
