brother called and has a goose field for the morning and wants me to bring SxS. I haven’t hauled the Pioneer in awhile so trailer has sat since early fall. It’s blowing my running light fuse on the truck. I disconnected the one running light on each side on at a time and still blowing fuses. All wires appear intact and not pinched. Ground was taken off, cleaned, and still blowing them. Ideas? This has me perplexed but must be something easy.

Yes 2 marker lights. I cut the wires going to them one at a time and it blew the fuse regardless of which one was cut out of the circuit. No plate light. The light from the rear tail light illuminated it.

Ok I think it' the brown wire, I know it normally has a few splices. Think starting at front and work your way down the line. I know that' not a lot of help

Did that. I am out of fuses. Only thing left is some low markers under the rear gate. Everywhere you can see wire looks great.

Are you using a regular 2in ball. The thing is this is how the trailer grounds if it has grease or something on it it can cause the problem but not very likely. Also check your truck battery ground and the ground going to the frame.

Check under the taillights on the trailer. Several years ago I had a wire pinched under the right side tail light that caused exactly the same issue.

On OHMS setting check resistance from trailer ground to the Brown wire in the plug.

If low to no resistance I would separate the connections to the Brown wire starting from the rear most connection

The pre wired magnetic sets are awesome. I use them when I use anyone else's trailer
