I set mine with a 1/8" toe in. Not sure what the OEM specs are but it drives good.

i have not got my manual for service yet. but did have a question on any adjustments to the rear alignment if any. i noticed my driver rear tire tips inward at a level stance and passenger rear is straight up and down with no load on the rear springs. i will have to get a picture when i get home . i used a square and rh rear was correct right angle, lh was off by an inch. anyone notice the same on their machine?
this is a photo from the day i purchased it in October. you can kind see it lean but the pic is not the best . i will upload more when i get home tonight .

I did not notice that on the OEM suspension.

2 inches is too much. I set mine at about 1/8th too and make sure the steering is straight.

When people say 1/8", are you talking about the difference between the rear and front of the rotors, the rear and front of the tires, or somewhere else?

Thanks,

Waylan

It must be in the air, I noticed mine over the weekend was toed out too much and posted in the MX Section if anyone had the procedure.

Small world.

I am measuring between the front wheels only. I am using the wheel as the beginning and ending surface because there is irregularities in the tire surface.

I measure the front and the back of the front tires to see the difference.

Understood - thanks. 1/8" at the wheel is even going to be different than 1/8" at the tire - hence my questioning.

BTW, my steering wheel was cocked a little to the left when driving straight. I popped the center cover on the steering wheel, removed the nut, and re-indexed my steering wheel by one spline and it lined up perfect. I like it to be straight and had thought about trying to make that adjustment via tie-rods, but this was really easy.

Mine seems to be the same...Im wondering if there is adjustment on the rear as well. I have 28 inch tires also. I will try to post pics this evening.

My toe was out on the front considerably as well. I toed in to 1/8"-in. The toe was so out that it chewed on the tires a good bit from 20 miles on asphalt. All is well now.
Regarding the rear negative camber, from my understanding the tops are in on almost all newer units under weight compression as a measure of anti-roll. With the top arm being slightly shorter than the bottom, as it compresses in turns it creates even more negative camber to help compensate for body roll. Whereas the body tilts opposite to cornering, the outside tire/wheel will compress further and have even more "tilt," or negative camber, to proportionally compensate the body lean.

When people say "toed in to 1/8 inch", where is your reference point? I understand that 1/8" toed in means the front is 1/8" closer than the rear, but where are your reference points? Are you using a straight edge and measuring 1 foot in front of the center of the axle and 1 foot rear of the center of the axle, or 3 foot in front? 1/8" toe in 1' in front of the center of axle is alot different than 3'.

I use the differentiation between the rear and front of the tire at multiple locations in rotation. I am therefore 1/16 toed-in from center axle/hub, and 1/8 from rear of tire to front. It isn't an exact science as you know, but I use the casting line measured at multiple points to check for no deviated outliers. I then confirm consistent measurements in rotation, front to back, to verify the deviations are within a very small MOE in the casting line. If the average of all measurements come to 1/8 front to back (absent of outliers) I lock it down and let her ride. Has worked for me to get it close.

I am toed OUT 1/8". I am still wearing the inside tire on both front wheels slightly. I will be going to toe IN 1/8"soon to see how they wear. I measure at the rim.
