Tire weight information

If there is information on tire weights out there I can't find it. Would love to see a chart showing sizes, brands and weight. I have 10 x 28 x 14 Tusk Terribites and they are very heavy, I have been told 43# each. Could really tell the difference when putting stockers back on. Next time will choose a lighter tire.

Unsprung weight is a big deal it was really noticeable on my Yamaha. Not so much on my P500. Probably a clutch/belt vs. a geared transmission thing.

Dennis Kirk lists the weight of tires at their site. They don't carry Tusk brand though. It's interesting to see what a Ripsaw weighs compared to a Bighorn 2. Another question I wonder about is wheel weight. Which weighs more... a 27" tire with a 12" wheel or a 27" tire with a 14" wheel.

I have a video where I lightly study this. The p500 stock 24" wheels and tires weighed 110 lbs for all four. Four 26x10 Ripsaws on ITP wheels weighed 180 lbs.

I saw your post in another thread regarding the terrabites vs the stock bh2's. I've got the same 28x10's and I believe it's the higher rolling resistance that you're probably experiencing, not tire weight difference. I think the terrabites have more rubber contact to the ground than the bh2's.

I think I found the weight on my 32 inch Terrabites and they were 41 pounds I believe

My 30” Blackwaters are only 34lbs and dual beadlocks are only 17lbs so 51lbs total. Those Terrabites can’t be 4lbs shy of a Roctane.

From this list and going off the 30", seems like the 32" should only be around 38 lbs... of course, it was just something I found on the intarwebs - gotta take it with a grain of salt.
